Bio:
Joining the van Dam lab in late 2015, I have been involved with our ongoing development of droplet-scale radiochemistry, including high-throughput optimization techniques and highly reagent efficient labeling strategies. The majority of my work has focused on the engineering challenges related to handling radioactive materials in very small volumes: from a microchip electrophoresis analysis device designed to push the radiation detection limits as low as possible, to a robotic platform for automating tedious radiochemistry optimization. The latter has already been used for synthesis optimization of a variety of novel radiotracers, and is being set up as a long-term tool for our lab. I currently am working on bringing our single-droplet automated synthesis platform up to production capabilities in preparation for our startup venture with the technology.
