Research Description:

Linsey Stiles has over 15 years of experience in mitochondrial research. In 2016, she joined UCLA as the Scientific Director of the UCLA Mitochondria and Metabolism Core and as a faculty member in the David Geffen School of Medicine. The mission of the Mitochondria Core is to provide the scientific community with the necessary technical and conceptual resources for studying mitochondrial function. The Core supports mitochondrial research for both academic and industry users. We specialize in mitochondrial bioenergetics, providing guidance and services focused on mitochondrial bioenergetic functions, including respirometry and ATP production, as well as imaging of mitochondrial mass and membrane potential. Linsey also has a research interest in developing novel approaches to measure mitochondrial function.
