Bio:
Maruthi received his doctorate from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science-Pilani, India. Subsequently, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Sogang University (Seoul, S. Korea), developing the late-stage fluorination methods, before joining Crump Institute UCLA in 2013. Currently, he is a project scientist in Prof. Jennifer Murphy’s lab. His projects span the development of new chemical methods for the synthesis of small-molecule tracers for positron emission tomography (PET) as well as novel methodology for radiolabeling targeted peptides for molecular imaging applications.
