Research Description:
Dr. Robert Prins is a tumor immunologist and Professor with dual appointments in the departments of Neurosurgery and Molecular and Medical Pharmacology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Dr. Prins received his B.S. degree in Kinesiology and Masters degree in Physiological Science from UCLA. He then received a PhD in Anatomy and Immunology from the Medical College of Virginia in 2001. After completing post-doctoral fellowships in tumor immunology, he joined the faculty at UCLA as an Assistant Professor in 2006. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2010 and then to full Professor in 2017.
Dr. Prins currently directs the Brain Tumor Immunotherapy Research Lab and oversees the training of multiple graduate students, medical students, residents, and hematology/oncology fellows.
